Our Inspirations That We Got From Se7en
the opening sequence of Se7en had caught our eyes as soon as we saw it. the opening sequence starts with close-ups and extreme close-ups which makes th film build tension. the effcet of these close-ups and extreme close-ups creates an atmosphere and builds tension as the audience that are watching thistry to figure out what the film is trying to hide as they cant see much from the cloe-ups and exteme close-ups. this use of cinematography will definatly be considered and used for our opening sequence for "Checkmate".
yesturday we finally had our actor acting for us. his acting was really good and his appearance did look like a russian person as we wanted someone to look like the russian pshco killer. we film couple of clips with this actor and have now decidid that he will be our actor for this opening sequence.

Were we got our inspiration from and why we have chosen this for our film
My story line for our openening sequence for our film is based in a real life story. This story is about a russain lunatic which kills people for no reason and records his death on a chess board. We decided to use a real life story behind this film as you can engage a large audience and there would be peole that would be intrested to watch a film which is re-created after a real life situation.
